Liferaft is free and always will be. This page describes exactly what the site records, why, and how to have it removed.

What stays on your device

Saved lifelines and small wins are stored in your browser only. They are never sent to the server, and clearing your browser data removes them.

When you use an AI tool

Each request is recorded so the tools can be kept working and abuse can be spotted. A record holds the tool used, the text you entered, the prompt built from it, the model, timing, token counts, the status, your IP address and your browser's user agent. The generated response is not stored, and neither are any API keys. Your text is sent to OpenAI to produce the response.

When you send feedback

The form stores what you write, along with anything you choose to put in the name and contact fields, the page you were on, your browser's user agent and a one-way hash of your IP address. Submissions are emailed to the person who runs Liferaft.

If you subscribe to the daily verse

Your email address is stored with the date you subscribed, the exact wording you agreed to, your IP address and user agent. That record exists to prove consent was given. Nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing stops the emails immediately; ask and the record will be deleted entirely.

Who else handles this data

Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

How long it is kept

Records are kept until they are deleted. There is no automatic expiry yet, so if you want something removed, ask.

Your choices

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to [email protected] and it will be handled by hand.

Children

Liferaft is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
