The night after a no

“Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”

Psalm 30:5 · ESV

God, it was a no, and it is night. I am allowed to grieve it, so I will. But You say weeping may last the night and joy comes with the morning, and I want to believe the morning is real. Do not let this no follow me into tomorrow. Do not let it compound. Give me tonight to feel it, sleep that actually rests, and a morning with its own mercy. Amen.
