When your job is your whole name

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Matthew 6:33 · ESV

Father, when the job goes well I feel like somebody, and when it goes badly I feel like nobody. That tells me where I have built my house. You said to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and the rest would be added. Turn the order back around in me. Let who I am in You come first, then the work, then the title. Give me the security that does not move when the org chart does. Amen.
