Before the workday begins

“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands.”

Lord, before the day starts moving faster than my soul, I stop here. Let Your favor rest on me today. Establish the work of my hands, the small tasks and the ones nobody will notice. Help me give my attention to what matters, answer with patience, and carry what is mine without carrying what is Yours. You are my provider. Let my work serve people well, and keep who I am rooted in You, not in what I get done. Amen.
