When your body is paying for the job

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

God, the headaches, the sleep, the weight, the doctor's warning: my body is keeping score of this job, and I have been ignoring it. Give me the wisdom to take the symptoms seriously and the courage to change what is causing them. You are my strength when mine is failing. Help me steward the one body You gave me. Amen.
