Grieving while you work

“The Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction.”

Father of mercies, I am supposed to be working and I can barely breathe. The loss sits in every meeting. Comfort me. Give me grace for the tasks I cannot skip and permission to fall apart where it is safe. Let the people around me be kind. Amen.
