Advent, week four: love

“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.”

1 John 4:9 · ESV

God, You sent Your Son into a world that had no room for Him. That is what love looks like: it shows up. Let me feel loved this week, not because my career is working, but because You came. And let me show up for someone who needs it. Amen.
