Advent, week three: joy

“Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Lord, joy feels like a luxury this year. There is too much unresolved to celebrate. But Your joy is not a mood I have to reach; it is strength You give. Fill me with it this week. Let me laugh at the table, sing in the car, and remember that You have already won. Amen.
