When none of it makes sense

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

Romans 8:28 · ESV

God, I cannot make this add up. The timing, the loss, the door that closed for no reason I can see. You say all things work together for good for those who love You. That does not mean all of this is good, and I am glad You do not ask me to call it good. It means You are working, even in this. I love You, and I am confused, and both are true. Work this together for good, and let me see a little of it in time. Amen.
